Experience London This Winter with English Study Camps at Wimbledon School of English
We’re pleased to announce the return of our winter programme in London — at the Wimbledon School of English’s Wimbledon centre — offering students aged 14 to 17 an exciting opportunity to study English and explore one of the world’s greatest cities in a safe, dynamic environment.
Set in the heart of Wimbledon, London, our programme combines high-quality English lessons with engaging cultural activities, city excursions and a real taste of British life. Running in January, students can choose to stay for one to four weeks, making this an ideal winter-break option to boost language skills, make new friends and experience London at a quieter, magical time of year.
Each week includes 12.5 hours of classroom study, in small international classes with a maximum of 16 students — ensuring each learner receives personalised attention. Students select a Main Study course such as Explore English Plus or Future Business Leaders Plus, alongside “Plus Courses” like Film Making or London Explorer that take their learning beyond the classroom.
Learning continues outside the classroom with a fun-filled excursion schedule: five half-day visits each week to London landmarks or local attractions, plus a full-day trip to places such as Oxford, Windsor or Brighton. Evening entertainment — from quiz nights and talent shows to discos and pizza parties — adds a lively social dimension and gives students the chance to practise English in a relaxed environment.
Accommodation is provided through welcoming local homestays. Students stay in comfortable single rooms with full board, including packed lunches on excursion days. Homestay living offers an authentic British experience and encourages learners to use English naturally outside class. All homestays are managed by our team, with a maximum 25 minute journey to school.
Student welfare is at the heart of what we do. Our experienced staff receive full safeguarding and first aid training, maintaining excellent staff-to-student ratios (typically 1:8 on excursions). From arrival to departure, students enjoy a safe, supportive and friendly environment.
