The full-week Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Gold Residential at English Study Camps combines challenge, discovery and fun in a supportive international camp environment. Students will step into a new setting, meet people they have not met before, and take part in purposeful group activities designed to build confidence, independence, teamwork and communication skills.

Throughout the programme, students will be taught by experienced English Study Camps teachers and supported by our residential and welfare team. They will join lessons, activities and evening events as part of a shared residential experience, helping them take responsibility for themselves, work with others and make lasting memories while completing an important section of their Gold Award.

The DofE describes the Residential section as a chance to challenge yourself, embrace new experiences, have fun with new people, work as a team, develop confidence and independence, and make memories beyond a standard activity week.
