Students enjoy a genuine British boarding school experience, staying on-site in bright and spacious boarding houses. On warm summer evenings, they can enjoy the gardens or make use of the large and well-equipped common areas. We encourage cultural exchange by mixing the nationalities of students in their bedrooms*.

STUDENT WELFARE

The safety and well-being of our students is central to everything we do at English Study Camps by Wimbledon School of English.

We ensure student welfare with:

  • Caring and dedicated staff

  • A designated Welfare Manager and team at each centre

  • First aiders at each centre and on excursions

  • An average ratio of 1:8 staff to students on excursions ensures our students are well looked after

  • House parents and residential staff in every residence

  • Level 3 safeguarding training for all our senior managers

  • Enhanced DBS checks for all our staff

MEALS

We know the importance that good quality food plays in learning and development, and we work with the catering team at Epsom College to ensure a balanced and varied diet of traditional English and international dishes.

All students receive:

• Breakfast, lunch, and dinner throughout their stay

• Snacks in their residence

• Options of vegetarian, halal, dairy-free, and gluten-free meals

• Packed lunches for excursion days

• The option to buy extra refreshments and snacks at an on-site Tuck Shop and cafe that sells Starbucks coffee

Excursions at London Epsom

London is one of the most exciting cities in the world and offers an urban adventure that you won’t find anywhere else. On the Epsom College London programme you spend three afternoons a week exploring its famous sights and landmarks – and doing some shopping too of course. If you want to prepare for your future and get to know this great city at the same time, English Study Camps in Epsom College is the place for you! Students enjoy a great range of excursions around London, from visiting world famous attractions such as the London Eye to exploring the amazing Natural History Museum or taking the Thames Cruise and seeing the sights of our capital city by boat.

On the Saturday our students will go on a full-day excursion away from London and will visit beautiful university cities such as Oxford and Cambridge.

London excursions may include:

  • Museums & Art Galleries such as The British Museum and Tate Modern

  • Thames River Cruise

  • Walking Tour of Westminster including Buckingham Palace, Houses of Parliament and Big Ben

  • Markets such as Borough, Camden & Portobello

  • Attractions including Madame Tussauds, St Paul’s Cathedral and the London Eye

  • Districts such as Greenwich, the City, Southbank and Westminster

  • Shopping in Oxford Street, Covent Garden and Westfield Shopping Centre

FULL DAY EXCURSIONS*

Once a week students have a day trip to famous cities outside London such as:

  • Oxford

  • Windsor

  • Cambridge

  • Canterbury

SUNDAY ACTIVITIES

On Sundays students can explore the historic market town of Epsom or enjoy some relaxing activities on campus.

In Epsom they can visit the shopping centre, with shops such as Primark, Pandora and Sports Direct, explore the marketplace with its street food kiosks, go to the cinema or chill in a café. If they choose to stay on campus students can use the amazing college facilities including the swimming pool, tennis and basketball courts, or just spend time relaxing and making new friends.

Optional Coaching

TENNIS COACHING

For all budding tennis champions! Tennis lovers can join our Tennis Coaching on Thursday afternoons and enjoy an hour’s coaching in small groups with a professional Lawn Tennis Association (LTA) coach. 2 hours per week

HORSE RIDING

On Tuesday afternoons, students can go to a nearby stables to go horse riding! They will have a 40 minute group lesson or hack in the beautiful Horton Park

On Saturday evenings students can choose between free time or a film show, so they can relax on campus after a busy day sight-seeing.
