This English course for juniors is located in great premises in the heart of Wimbledon, only a few minutes from the main school. Our exciting Wimbledon-based programme combines the study of English with other topics and includes visits to the centre of London on most afternoons.

Accommodation

HOMESTAY

We know how important it is to feel at home in your accommodation. WSE homestays are welcoming and friendly and many have worked with us for years. We manage all our homestays ourselves and take great care to ensure high standards.

KEY FACTS

  • Maximum journey time to school: 25 minutes

  • Students will walk to and from school in pairs, where possible

STUDENT WELFARE

The safety and well-being of our students is central to everything we do at English Study Camps by Wimbledon School of English.

We ensure student welfare with:

  • Caring and dedicated staff

  • A designated Welfare Manager at each centre

  • First aiders at each centre and on excursions

  • An average ratio of 1:8 staff to students on excursions ensures our students are well looked after

  • Dedicated accommodation staff who liaise with students and hosts to ensure students are happy and comfortable in their homestay accommodation

  • Level 3 safeguarding training for all our senior managers

  • DBS checks for all our staff and host families

MEALS

Homestay

Students staying in Homestay accommodation have their meals provided by their host family.

All students receive:

  • Breakfast, packed lunch, and dinner

  • The option to buy extra refreshments and snacks at an on-site Tuck Shop

We can accommodate halal, coeliac/gluten free, dairy free/lactose intolerant and vegan diets but there is a supplementary fee.

Excursions & Clubs in Wimbledon

London is one of the most exciting cities in the world and offers an urban adventure that you won’t find anywhere else. On the Wimbledon programme you spend four afternoons a week exploring its famous sights and landmarks – and doing some shopping too of course. If you want to prepare for your future and get to know this great city at the same time, English Study Camps London is the place for you! Students enjoy a great range of excursions around London, from visiting world famous attractions such as the Tower of London to exploring the street art of Shoreditch and Brick Lane.

London excursions include:

  • Museums & Art Galleries such as The British Museum and Tate Modern

  • Open Top Bus Tours

  • Thames River Cruise

  • Walking Tour of Westminster including Buckingham Palace, Houses of Parliament and Big Ben

  • Markets such as Borough, Camden & Portobello

  • Attractions including Madame Tussauds, St Paul’s Cathedral and the London Eye

  • Districts such as Greenwich, the City, Southbank and Westminster

  • Shopping in Oxford Street, Covent Garden and Westfield Shopping Centre

FULL DAY EXCURSIONS*

Once a week students have a day trip to London or famous cities such as:

On Sundays students join an excursion* to places such as:

WIMBLEDON TENNIS COACHING

For all budding Wimbledon tennis champions! Tennis lovers can join our Tennis Coaching on Thursday afternoons and enjoy an hour’s coaching in small groups with a professional Lawn Tennis Association (LTA) coach. 1 hour per week
