The 2-week programme combines fun, challenge, and discovery, giving you a real insight into boarding school life. You’ll be taught by experienced Lord Wandsworth College teachers and stay in a boarding house run by Lord Wandsworth College staff, receiving the same high-quality teaching and pastoral care as their own students.

What is STEM?
STEM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. It is a hands-on, practical approach to learning that helps students explore how things work in the real world. STEM activities often include experiments, coding, robotics, engineering challenges, problem-solving tasks and creative projects.
In our programme, STEM helps students build important skills such as critical thinking, teamwork, creativity and innovation, while discovering which subjects they might want to study in the future.
Experience life at a UK boarding school with a STEM focus
For over 100 years, Lord Wandsworth College (LWC) has helped young people develop the character, confidence and compassion to become their better selves.
Now, for the first time, students from around the world can experience the LWC approach through this unique two-week Boarding School Taster Programme, organised in partnership with Wimbledon School of English (WSE).
The main programme will be STEM based. Each week will have two different themes which may include topics such as coding, robotics, space, mathematics, science and engineering . This immersive experience allows students to apply what they learn in real-world STEM projects, building problem-solving abilities, creativity, and collaboration. The highly experienced specialist LWC teachers keep every student engaged and inspired while helping them discover what different STEM disciplines involve.
